In my journey in the recruitment industry, I’ve learned many lessons, one of which is that job titles can be deceiving. These days, many titles are designed to make roles sound more fun and to motivate employees. However, when candidates try to find new jobs, they often struggle because of these titles.
One of the most rewarding experiences is uncovering the true potential of a candidate whose resume might not boast flashy titles but whose skills and experiences tell a different story. I remember working with a candidate who had a modest job title but an incredible ability for problem-solving and innovation. Despite the initial hesitation from the client due to the candidate's title, we delved deeper into his actual work and skills. His portfolio and the projects he had spearheaded were nothing short of impressive.
