Job Summary

The AGM – Design will be responsible for leading the organization's architectural and interior design function, ensuring design excellence across all projects while aligning with the company's vision, brand identity, and business objectives. The role involves strategic leadership, project oversight, team management, quality assurance, cross functional coordination, and continuous innovation to deliver world-class design solutions. The role demands extraordinary presentation skills for delivering design pitches & presentations to the UHNI clients with acute aesthetic sensibilities along with the technical prowess in Architecture, Interiors and Landscape design.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Design Leadership

Lead and oversee all architectural and interior design functions across the organization.

Develop and implement the company's long-term design strategy aligned with business objectives and brand identity.

Drive design innovation while maintaining consistency in quality and user experience.

Establish and maintain design standards, processes, and best practices.

2. Design & Project Management

Manage end-to-end design projects from concept to completion.

Overseeing client’s design requirements, mood boards, GFCs, material indents and seamless coordination with the site team for execution.

Coordinating with all consultants at the various levels of the projects and managing their timely billings

Reviewing BOQs, monitoring new material researches and monitoring and adhering to the Project Budget

Project Budget to be aligned with the design development, procurement coordination, and site execution and to ensure that the design intent is maintained.

Define and track the project milestones, timelines, deliverables, and review mechanisms.

Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining the highest quality standards.

3. Design SPoC for Client Communications

Prepare & Deliver the Design presentations to the management as well as UHNI clients at various project stages such as Project Pitches, Design Concept Sign Offs,

Moodboards & Material Boards Sign offs, Architectural Design Sign Offs, Interiors & Landscape Design Sign Offs, etc effectively and efficiently

Handle Design queries and concerns raised by Management as well as Clients with minimal turnaround time with proper documentations

Effective Change management with the Design Changes being well evaluated, value engineered, well documented and well transmitted across all the stakeholders in time.

4. Team Leadership & People Development

Lead, mentor, and inspire architects, interior designers, and project teams.

Build a high-performing design team through recruitment, coaching, and performance management.

Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable work culture.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Projects, Procurement, and Operations teams.

Support client presentations, design proposals, and business development initiatives.

Act as the primary design representative for internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure seamless coordination between design, execution, and project delivery teams.

6. Design Quality & Brand Excellence

Ensure all design outputs align with the company's design philosophy and brand guidelines.

Drive excellence in space planning, material selection, lighting, finishes, detailing, and overall user experience.

Standardize design documentation, drawings, specifications, and presentation formats.

Review and approve all design deliverables before execution.

7. Quality, Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, statutory regulations, safety standards, and sustainability requirements.

Review designs for constructability, coordination, and risk mitigation.

Maintain quality assurance processes throughout project execution.

8. Budget & Resource Management

Manage design budgets, consultants, vendors, and external design partners.

Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize costs without compromising design quality.

Review BOQs, specifications, and material selections from both commercial and design perspectives.

Ensure efficient utilization of design resources.

9. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Stay updated with emerging architectural and interior design trends, technologies, materials, and industry best practices.

Introduce innovative design methodologies and digital tools to improve efficiency and project outcomes.

Continuously enhance design processes and organizational standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) is mandatory.

Master's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or Business Management (preferred).

Experience

12-15 years of experience in Architecture and Interior Design.

Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.

Proven experience managing multiple large-scale Luxury Residential Villas & Gated Communities, Hospitality & Club House Projects

Strong exposure to design management, project execution, client management, and team leadership.
