Job Description: Summary Description:
The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales and catering opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Assists in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, customer relationships that enable achievement of budgeted hotel revenues, sales objectives and personal sales goals.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
1. Build successful relationships with existing and new customers to generate sales opportunities across all segments for unit and cluster properties operated under the Brand. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
2. Manage sales activities across all segments and achieve own revenue goals for primary hotel and other cluster properties operated under the Brand.
3. Attend events, conferences, sales blitzes, and trade shows related to developing business for all hotels under the cluster.
4. Develop and maintain a base of accounts and clients in both group and transient business.
5. Work with management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment led by the ADOS/DOS .
6. Work collaboratively, as a team member, to manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
7. Provide accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management.
8. Build and develop own and team portfolio to maximise sales.
9. Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
10. Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
11. Understand and share market information and trends with sales and revenue teams about the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc.
12. Answers phones and emails in a timely manner and in accordance with the hotel’s standards.
13. Gain understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business needs and offer an appropriate business solution, maximising revenue for the hotels while providing exceptional customer service.
14. Conduct accurate and timely reporting according to weekly, monthly and annual deadlines.
15. Services customers in order to grow share of the account.
16. Executes and supports the company’s customer service standards.
17. Maintain accurate filing, record keeping and data entry and prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports and update to management.
18. Maintain a database of clients and regularly update the same in a timely manner.
19. Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards.
20. Meets with guests during pre- and post-convention meetings to obtain feedback on quality of product (e.g., rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage), service levels, execution against contract and overall satisfaction.
21. Maintains a high level of confidentiality with all employer/vendor information.
22. Follow all policies and procedures put forth by the Hotels/Brand.
23. Represent the department in the absence of ADOS/DOS/DOSM or as directed by management.
24. Participate in regular trainings organise by management and train the team as well as required.
25. Follow other duties as assigned.
