Job Description: About our client: 1: more than 25 decades of cumulative experience in financial services and equity markets. 2: Partnered with one of the largest fund houses in Europe with multi-billion USD of assets under management (AUM). Company have the following registrations: 1: Trust registered with SEBI as CAT III Alternate Investment Fund. 2: SEBI Registered Portfolio Management Services 3: Offshore Fund: An Ireland based UCITS Sub-fund [the Sub-fund is also registered with SEBI as an FPI] 4: SEBI Registered Investment Advisor. Job Purpose (Job Summary): The individual will be responsible for supporting the Alternatives’ (AIF) fundraising in close coordination with the investment professionals, client businesses and executives within the client business. Roles & Responsibilities: Education / Experience Skills and Personal Qualities
• Develop a thorough understanding of the existing investment products (investment strategies) of the Alternative Investment Fund and Portfolio Management Services currently marketed by company.
• Work alongside team to operate as a cohesive unit where information on sales activity, account intelligence, and sales leads are shared on a continual basis.
• Actively supporting the existing relationship managers' sales efforts with clients and prospects.
• Acquire new clients through market intelligence and regular engagements.
• Initiate education and sales activity with investors not currently engaged in discussions with company.
• Establish, grow, and manage investment relationships with clients. Ensuring smooth onboarding of clients along with the Operations Team and ensuring proper and thorough documentation and compliance. Build robust and lasting salesdialogues with clients and being accountable for significant asset growth.
• Obtain reasonable understanding of client’s business (including investment strategies products/services, customers, competitors, the overall market and trends) through careful research and analysis.
• Recognize changes in the client’s/ market environment which may present opportunities for company to pitch for it’s products.
• Work alongside the team to prepare the pitch used in investor meetings, including performance analysis and peer / benchmark comparisons; practice the pitch and help the management team pre-empt investor questions.
• Work with distribution partners to drive new business opportunities.
• Maintain healthy relationships with the RM team at distribution partners to create a regular follow-up and pitching for new client acquisitions.
• Up to 2 years of experience in handling the Sales / Business development / Fundraising in Allied industries (Wealth mgt / financial advisory / PMS / AIF); We
would be open to consider freshers also with a strong academic background.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, research, statistics, mathematics, economics,or related analytical discipline preferred. Masters / MBA will be a plus.
▪ Good understanding of Indian capital market investing in equities and long-term investment strategy.
▪ Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business analysis
▪ Advanced Excel proficiency & practical experience of using Excel for buildingand maintaining financial models.
▪ Strong understanding of the asset management sales process as it relates to institutional and or wealth investors.
▪ Proven sales background - track record of building strong client relationships and being viewed as a 'trusted advisor'. Preferably having exposure to direct client acquisition for various investment products will be an added advantage.
▪ Ability to drive results in an autonomous working environment and in close collaboration with colleagues within and across business units.
▪ Capacity to move effectively and efficiently between engaging with investors, relationship managers and product managers to provide value added perspective and deliverables.
▪ Strong communication skills - ability to clearly and concisely articulate product and platform characteristics to sophisticated investors both in written work and presentations to large and small audiences.
▪ Passion for the financial markets and alternatives asset class.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in finance or related analytical discipline preferred. Masters / MBA a plus.
