Job Description:   

Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing rich insights and delivering analytical outputs of good standard by monitoring and analyzing companies across industry segments & across the market cap.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Conduct secondary research of the Companies to provide investment recommendations
• Assisting Chief Investment Officer (CIO)/Portfolio Manager (PM) to take investment decisions according to mandate of the fund
• Assess sector level changes / trends and understand the inter-linkages with the macro economy.
• Attend quarterly result calls, industry/market expert call to get deep understating of business & domestic / global macros
• Regularly updating the fund management team/CIO about current events which have impact on portfolio securities or overall market
• Perform financial statement analysis and develop understanding of the Company’s fundamentals in terms of nature of business, growth dynamics, cost structure, growth & profitability drivers, competitiveness & its linkages domestic / global macros.
• Present, oral or written, reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire industries.
• Writing brief analysis for the investee companies or detailed note for presenting it to investment committee

Education/Experience
• CA / CFA / MBA
• Exposure to finance or any other analytical course

Work Experience / Knowledge:
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of equity research experience
• Exposure in Mutual Fund / PMS / AIF industry is strongly preferred
• Bloomberg knowledge will be an added advantage
• Expert in word, excel etc.
