Job Description:   

Roles and Responsibilities

• Fund Accounting

1: Have a complete understanding of the NAV calculations and validate the NAVs as prepared by the fund accountant
2: Supervise the mirror accounting performed by the team for all the 3 AIF schemes
3: Take care of the taxation for the Alternate Investment Funds and coordinating with the tax consultants for various tax compliances including tax payments
4: Calculation and booking of fees accruals, management fees, performance/incentive fees & administration fees
5: Providing accounting solutions to Funds / Strategies for independent valuation and accurate Books of Accounts
6: Performing reconciliations of the books with that of various custody reports and taking appropriate actions in case of emergence of any discrepancies

• Finance, Accounts and Taxation
1: Responsible for the accounts, treasury operations and taxation (direct and indirect) of all the entities in the group
2: Coordinating with the vendors including statutory auditors, tax consultants and ensuring meeting compliance with all internal organizational and business policies.

• Overall management and operations
1: Mentor and motivate the accounts and operations team
2: Supervise and ensure proper performance of the operations team for all the group entities including AIF and PMS
3: Troubleshoot issues of other team members
4: Support the compliance team in completing various compliances towards AIF, PMS and at the entity levels
5: Preparation, review and updating of the SOPs

Experience, Skills, and Personal Qualities

• 5 to 10 years Post CA Qualification experience in Financial Services or Asset Management (MF / AIF / PMS).
• A person who has spent some time in NAV calculations or verifying NAV as prepared by a fund accountant.
• Has prior experience of accounting, audit and tax.
• CS qualification would be an added advantage.

Qualification: Any Graduate + Qualified CA
