Job Description: Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy and establishing key partnerships within the education industry. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with potential clients, and ultimately contributing to the company's revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, excellent communicator, and passionate about transforming education through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Market Research and Analysis:
o Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential niches within the EdTech industry.
o Analyze competitor offerings and industry benchmarks to refine our value proposition and competitive positioning.
• Business Development:
o Identify and approach potential clients, partners, and collaborators within the education sector, including schools, colleges, universities, corporate training programs, and other
relevant organizations.
o Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through networking, cold-calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing connections.
• Partnership Development:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential strategic partnerships, alliances, and distribution channels to accelerate growth.
o Negotiate and close partnership agreements that align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Client Relationship Management:
o Build strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders in prospective client organizations.
o Understand client needs, pain points, and goals, and tailor solutions that address their specific requirements.
• Solution Presentation and Demonstration:
o Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of our EdTech solutions to potential clients, highlighting the value and benefits they offer.
• Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
o Forecast sales trends and track progress using CRM tools and other relevant software.
• Collaboration and Reporting:
o Collaborate closely with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless client experience from lead generation to post-sale support.
o Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress, and results to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably within the EdTech or education sector.
• Strong understanding of the EdTech landscape and emerging trends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
• Results-oriented with a drive to exceed targets and objectives.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
