Job Description: Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The individual will be primarily responsible for leading the RIA (Registered Investment Advisory) Business Vertical along with management. The individual will be responsible for generating new client
relationships as well as maintaining existing key client and prospects’ relationships to grow assets under management across RIA business. The individual will also support company in terms of fundraising across other company products.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Develop complete understanding of the RIA business from both commercial as well regulatory perspective.
• Should be able to successfully clear the NISM examination for XA and XB – Investment Advisor Certification.
• Independently run the day-to-day operations of the RIA including managing all the related compliances with the support of a compliance officer.
• Independently lead the efforts to build new relationships as well as nurture existing relationships to explore fund raising sales efforts with clients and prospects.
• Build robust and lasting sales dialogues with clients and being accountable forsignificant asset growth.
• Work with distribution partners to drive new business opportunities.
Experience, Skills, and Personal Qualities
• Experience of over 5 years in activities relating to providing advice in financial products or securities or fund or asset or portfolio management
• Preferably having worked at an asset management company or wealth management company handling research or fund management activities
• Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business analysis
• Ability to drive results independently and in close collaboration with colleagues within and across business units.
• Capacity to move effectively and efficiently between engaging with investors, relationship managers and product managers to provide value added perspective and deliverables.
• Strong communication skills - ability to clearly and concisely articulate product and platform characteristics to sophisticated investors both in written work and presentations
to large and small audiences.
• Passion for financial markets and alternatives asset class.
Qualification:
• A professional qualification or post-graduate degree in finance, accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital market, banking, insurance or actuarial science from a recognized University [professional qualifications such as CA / CFA / Masters / MBA amongst other such related post graduate qualifications].
