Job Description:   

The product marketing manager is expected to work with design, sales and strategy teams. The role requires a strong understanding of the product and the ability to bring it out in creative briefs to advertising agencies. The candidate is expected to analyse customer segments, buyer behaviour and enhance the product understanding on ground with the sales team. The role shall further encompass market research and presenting foresights for informed decision making. The product marketing manager is part custodian of the brand who will also oversee movement of inventory and consider their role key to the business.

KRA’s:
•    Creating the product positioning and work on go to market strategies
•    Curate product presentation for sales team
•    Understand trends in sale, define target customers and plan inventory sales
•    Analysis of data on customer enquiries, sales movement & competition mapping
•    Planning and monitoring of product visibility across Print media, OOH, Digital and Social among others
•    Face to face interactions with customers for feedback and its implementation
•    Cross functional coordination for execution of all deliverables
KPI’s:
•    Quality of product presentations, opportunity documents and advertising material
•    Analytical insights from enquiries and sales, recommended actions
•    Depth of research, market understanding & recommendations
•    External brand image across various media both on aesthetic and impact
•    Timeliness & quality of content, marketing, and analytical deliverables
•    Effectiveness of campaigns executed & learnings implemented

Skillset/Key traits:
The role requires the candidate to have an understanding of Go to market strategies, forecasting, devising product and inventory strategies. The candidate is required to be deft in understanding how business is driven with the help of data mining, analytics, & developing management dashboards. The role encompasses analysis of competition, past trends, competition survey, future development and new initiatives in addition to tactical interventions in the existing plans.

•    MBA/ Marketing graduate with 3+ years of experience
•    Experience in FMCG/FMCD preferable
•    Very strong bias to ownership & action
•    Critical thinking and analytical understanding
•    Strong communication and influencing skills
•    Past experience as an enabler and not just coordinator


Qualification: MBA Marketing
