Job Description: Job Summary: KRA’s: KPI’s:
The sales strategy function is expected to work across departments of Sales, Marketing, CRM, Presales and MIS. The strategy manager plays a pivotal role between all departments in setting budgets, weekly promotions and inventory management. The role is also responsible for driving efficiencies on sales promotion and marketing efforts. The role requires strong quantitative understanding, analytical skills and an ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across hierarchy. The strategy manager is a part custodian of the budget, company bottom line and the inventory.
• Assist the sale team in Inventory planning and management
• Creation of the price sheet & curate weekly promotions and offers
• Monitor the sale pipeline & coordinate with CRM on gross-to-net ratios; deviations
• Analysis of data on customer enquiries, sales movement & competition mapping
• Face to face interactions with customers for feedback and its implementation
• Analysing distribution & tele calling efforts of channels – providing input to site head
• Cross functional coordination for execution of all deliverables
• Pro-active approach on driving efficiencies
• Strength of execution of promotions and offers
• Growth on bottom line and company realization
• Prompt coordination, Impact on sales pipeline in coordination with departments
• Timeliness & quality of analysis & communication
• Effectiveness of plans executed & learnings implemented
Skillset/Key traits:
The role requires the candidate to perform number crunching, forecasting, devising inventory strategies. The candidate is required to be deft in data mining, analytics, & developing management dashboards. The role encompasses analysis of past trends, competition survey, future development and new initiatives in addition to tactical interventions in the existing plans. Relevant software knowledge in statistical tools & excel is expected.
• MBA/ Finance graduate with 1-3 years of experience
• Enabling business during extended sales operating hours (including weekends)
• Experience in FMCG/FMCD preferable
• Very strong bias to ownership & action
• Critical thinking and analytical understanding
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Experience as an enabler and not just coordinator
Qualification: Any Graduate
